How far in advance should I place my order?
We recommend placing your order at least 4 weeks before your requested delivery date.
What? You are getting married in 7 days and still have not placed an order for your flowers? Don't worry! Give us a call and we will work with you to make your wedding wishes come true. Placing your order early guarantees the best selection, but we are still picking, packing, and shipping flowers every day throughout the year.
What is the best day to have my flowers arrive?
All flowers are shipped and arrive in bud form. If you plan on ordering Tulips you will want to allow 1-2 days for the flowers to fully open. And if you are ordering Lilies, Peonies, or Daffodils you will want to allow up to 5 days for the flowers to fully open. If you are not certain what delivery date would work best for the day of your wedding, then please call us and we can help you decide on the specifics!
How will my flowers be shipped? Will you include any special instructions regarding care for my flowers once they arrive?
Your flowers will be shipped via overnight delivery. This allows flowers to arrive from our farm to your chosen location in less than 24 hours - thereby ensuring the outstanding quality and freshness of your flowers. Upon arrival you should give each of the bunches a fresh cut approximately 1 inch from the end of the stem and then place them directly in cool water - while they are still wrapped. All stems should then be removed from any packaging after a few hours have passed. Once you have arranged your flowers it is important to remember that keeping them in darker locations with cooler temperatures will slow their opening process, while placing them in a warmer room with more light will help them to open more quickly. Both options are fine for the flowers and you should treat them according to your plans and timeline. However, aim to keep all of your flowers out of direct sunlight and hot temperatures for as long as possible as these extremes will shorten the life of your beautiful blooms.
Can I choose more than one color for my flowers? Can I request specific varieties?
Absolutely! Our flowers are wrapped in bunches, so you may choose the same color for all of your bunches, choose one color for half of your bunches and another color for the other half, or you may even decide to choose a mixture of all our colors. Tulips and Daffodils are packaged 10 stems to a bunch; Asiatic and Oriental lilies are packaged 3 stems to a bunch; and Peonies are packaged in 5 stem bunches.
And as always, if you are not exactly sure what you want, or are simply looking for more detailed information before you make your choices, please give us a call and we will gladly help!
